Sara Holley {Event Consultant & Venue Manager}

Sara's event planning training started at a very early age, assisting her amazing Mother who is a socialite that is constantly entertaining friends and hosting dinner parties. With a degree in Apparel Merchandising, Sara’s career started in Fashion Industry, but her love of weddings and celebrations, creative nature and personable charachteristics quickly brought her into the world of event planning. She discovered her true passion by assisting many sought after planners and completing an internship with a Celebrity Event Planner. Following the love of her life and now husband, she moved to Napa, California where she held the position as the Catering Sales Manager at a prestigious golf club. In this position, she gained valuable experience and understanding of the ‘back of the house’ that is so important, but can be often overlooked. Sara started Events Plus Style shortly after moving to sunny San Diego, a place she will now always call home. Over the years, she has planned a variety of events ranging from intimate dinners to large weddings, fundraisers, military and corporate events with over 1000 people in attendance. Her vintage sensibility, warm personality, and background in hospitality, make Sara one of San Diego’s most trusted and capable event professionals.

Favorite part of a Wedding:

The Grand Entrance. It’s right after the beautiful ceremony and "I Do's"; the nerves are calmed and the new bride and groom are ready to celebrate as husband and wife with all thier friends and family.

Where can you find Sara when she is not planning an event:

Running all over San Diego’s coasts usually training for a race, doing hot yoga, exploring this beautiful city or at church with her husband.

Largest event planned:

A large military gala for 1000+ people with assigned seatings, which is quite the task with all the different rankings. We also just had a corporate 100th year anniversary for 750 people last December.

Ashley Cole {Event Consultant}

An event planner from an early age, Ashley always saw life like a party. Her passion for events grew when she attended Film School at San Diego State University.  As a producer and set designer, Ashley landed herself a job in Los Angeles to explore her talent in the industry.  Each set she designed, told a story similar to the personalized events she plans. She quickly knew that her heart was in San Diego working in the event industry and living by the ocean. Her experience in the production industry combined with her passion for event planning has led her to an incredibly successful career path. Ashley’s upbeat personality, creativity, and event knowledge make her someone you will want to trust with your most important events. Over the years, Sara and Ashley have planned a variety of events ranging from intimate dinners to large weddings, fundraisers, and corporate meetings & events.

Favorite part of a Wedding:

The moment the groom sees his bride {soon to be wife} walk down the aisle. The emotions in his face are breathtaking.

Where can you find Ashley when she is not planning an event:

Enjoying quality time with her husband... hiking, laying at the beach, playing sports, watching movies, you name it!

Favorite event theme planned:

A Fire Fighter themed 99th Birthday Party! Complete with the Fire Department in attendance to oversee the cake with ninty nine candles and of course, a ride in the cab of a shiny red truck!

Laura Lee Crouch {Event Consultant}

Laura grew up in New York in an Italian home where parties and events were the norm and this really instilled the love for planning in her. While completing her Bachelor’s in Theatre & Music, she had the opportunity to help plan many shows, concerts, tours and events and loved it! After college, she worked for a Motivational Seminar company that held events for thousands of people at a time across the country, also planning many large in-house company events. She even volunteered with the non-profit organization, End Human Trafficking, for 2 years organizing events and fundraisers. Wanting to learn more about the industry, she interned with a local wedding coordinator in Tampa, FL. Working on one of the most important days of a person’s life brought her love and passion for planning to another level! After moving to San Diego, Laura immediately joined the volunteer team with her husband’s unit on Camp Pendleton. There she helps organize fundraisers, parties and events for the Marines, Sailors and their families. Her outgoing personality, attention to detail, experience in the arts, and love for people, bring a refreshing and fun experience to the events she works on. She is thrilled to be part of Events Plus Style team.

Favorite part of a Wedding:

When the dance floor opens! I love to see the bride and groom getting to enjoy the day that they've waited so long for and seeing all the guests get funky. :)

Where can you find Laura when she is not planning an event:
